Acrobat Error 14

After deleting or inserting PDF pages Acrobat throws error 'There was a problem reading this document (14).' I often need to insert or delete pages in a PDF file because the authors did not format. If you still see the error, use the Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove traces of any previous installation, and then reinstall Adobe Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat. 1618: Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install. Single click on the folder or file. Press Shift key and Delete key together. Press Yes and the folder or file will be deleted permanently. Note: Permanently deleting a folder or file means that it would neither be found in the folder containing it, nor in the Recycle bin. The Problem: You attempt to save a dynamically generated pdf built from a website and get the error 'The document could not be saved, a number is out of range'. The Cause: Incompatibility of settings between the version of Acrobat that created the pdf and the version of Acrobat that is being used to view the pdf. The Solution: Go to preferences, go to 'General' and uncheck 'Save As optimizes for Fast Web View' and see if that fixes the problem.

Track details¶

The Acrobat DC product family introduces two tracks for both Acrobat and Reader which are essentially different products: 'Classic' and 'Continuous.' Most end users will install the Continuous track provided from the Reader Download Center. Enterprise organizations will user either the Classic or Continuous track. • AppV scripts and guidelines have been released for both Acrobat and Reader.
• An AcrobatCleaner for DC products has been posted on LABs. Use this tool to do a clean uninstall.
• ADM starter templates have been released.
• SCUP catalogs are updated.
• A new APTEE tool version (9.0.0.2) is released and available from the Licensing Web Site.
• Some services can now be disable and enabled from the Enterprise Dashboard.
• 11.x and DC products can now coexist on the same machine. In the past, two versions of Acrobat or Reader could not reside on the same machine.
• The conversion from a trial version to the classic now occurs inside the product as described in https://helpx.stage.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/convert-from-trial-to-classic.html.
• Signature profile and appearance synchronization now occurs across all devices and the web. Non digital signature appearances (those associated with Adobe eSign (EchoSign) are synchronized between eSign, Fill & Sign on the web, mobile apps, and the desktop. Signatures or initials created in eSign will now be available in Fill & Sign, and vice versa. When the application detects signatures saved in different apps, users are asked which one should be retained.
• A new preference allows admins to disable scanned document editing would be disabled in Acrobat. See DisableScannedDocumentEditing in the Preference Reference.
• Disabling upsell is now possible for users with volume licenses.
